2,500 euros for the Nieder-Ramstadt Charitable Trust

Ober-Ramstadt, 1st August 2016 (DAW) – The fiftieth anniversary of a raw material used in manufacturing paint is a reason for three-way happiness: Firstly, for the manufacturer who celebrates this special year with a competition. The building paints and insulation system manufact­urer, DAW SE in Ober-Ramstadt, is a happy win­ner and the Nieder-Ramstadt Charitable Trust is delighted with a donation cheque. The Dutch company, Ashland Industries Nederland BV, also had cause for celebration as their product "Natrosol" is celebrating its "50th Birthday" in 2016. Ashland also wants its customers to take part in this jubilee and therefore organised a competi­tion. In each month of this celebratory year there is to be a winner of 500 kilograms of the product. The only condition for participation in the competition is to donate the equivalent value of this shipment for a charitable purpose. DAW Director, Daniel Weber, Gerhard Merten from DAW Purchasing and the responsible con­tact person for Ashland along with Karin Laberenz from DAW Corporate Communication submitted the ap­proriate application. The recipient of the donation was the "Nieder-Ramstadt Charitable Trust" (NRD) in Mühltal, because the two companies had already been working together for many years. DAW now offers fifteen handicapped persons a job in the factory at Ober-Ramstadt. The application was successful so that DAW was the delighted win­ner in the Ashland Jubilee Month of May. The company rounded up the amount and on the 18th July 2016 was able to hand over a cheque for 2,500 euros. Walter Diehl, Chairman of the Nieder-Ramstadt Charitable Trust, together with Sonja Wießmann, Fund-Raising Officer, and Andreas Koch, Manager of the Dieburg Workshops, are delighted with the donation which will be used for the con­version of the courtyard in Ueberau.
