Sustainable products

Through their material properties, our sustainable products should enhance the health and well-being of people and provide environmental and climate protection. We have faced these challenges at an early stage and have become a forerunner for the whole industrial branch.
For living and working in a clean, healthy and sustainably designed environment we offer a wide range of emission-minimised and solvent-free paints, enamels, primers and other innovative coatings.
A special highlight here is the Indeko-plus from Caparol, the world's first emission-minimised and solvent-free interior paint, which came onto the market as long ago as 1985. This fact that first-class product quality and excellent environmental properties can complement one another very well has been proven by the Dalmatiner board, which on its introduction in 2002 set a new standard in thermal insulation. Moreover, our nano-quartz matrix technology and the OWC, the One-Way Container, which provides a substantial contribution to the reduction of waste, are significant developments.
The rise in energy consumption and the resulting change in the climate represent one of the greatest challenges of our time. No matter whether private houses or larger residential complexes are involved, reducing the energy consumption for heating and air conditioning is not only a good idea in view of climatic problems, but also when consideration is given to cost aspects. With the use of high-quality thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), for example, the oil consumption can be reduced from 20 litres to three litres per square metre of facade area per annum. In this way energy-saving optimisation soon results in noticeable economic and ecological relief.
